Fees and Admissions

admissions

We welcome children from the age of 2 up to rising 5 (just before they start primary school).
We offer tours before you complete your registration form, followed by settling in sessions once your place has been confirmed, to ease your child's transition to our setting, be it from home or a setting elsewhere.
Upon starting at St Edith's, we will need you to provide either your child’s birth certificate or passport for us to verify their identity and note the document number - this is required when applying for funding and it's easier to get it all out the way at the start.

Children should attend either 1 full day or two sessions per week at minimum.

absences, holidays and place termination

In the event that you wish to remove your child from St Edith's; we require a term's notice otherwise the full term’s fees are payable, unless your child accesses a completely free place with us (eg. you pay for neither sessions nor the lunch hour) in which case, there is no notice period.

If a child is absent from Pre-school e.g. illness or holiday, fees are non-refundable. Fees are also required to be paid in the unlikely event of the government choosing not to fund certain weeks within term time. For example, if the government decides not to include the last week of a term within the funding: we, as a setting, still have the same overhead costs because we are open. Therefore, parents do not have the choice of removing their child(ren) for the non-funded week and fees are still payable.

Alternatively, a funded child could attend 5 mornings per week, using 12.5 hours out of their 15 hour entitlement at no cost.
